Yalgarra Project
Yalgarra Project
Nickel-Copper-Cobalt-PGE
West Yilgarn, Western Australia
The Yalgarra Project is IEC’s flagship project targeting magmatic nickel-copper-cobalt-PGE mineralisation, and is located 125km east of Kalbarri, Western Australia in the northern sector of the West Yilgarn Ni-Cu-PGE province. Covering approximately 400 km2 of highly prospective tenure, exploration will target magmatic nickel-copper-cobalt-PGE mineralisation.
PROJECT OVERVIEW
Anomalous Lithium results of up to 161 ppm Li2O returned from 11 soil samples.
IEC has a 70% ownership, licensed from Century Minerals which retains a 30% interest license.
Exploration by neighbours in the vicinity of Yalgarra has defined several new magmatic Ni-Cu-PGE±Au prospects.
Yalgarra sits centrally over the core gravity high in the region and has several large magnetic features which may represent potential unexplored mafic-ultramafic intrusions.
Exploration will target ultramafic rocks on Yalgarra before investigating other large magnetic features.
Follow up infill soil sampling program to be identified.
DRILLING TARGET PROGRESS
Airborne Electro-Magnetic (AEM) survey underway:
- Mapping the geology and defining structures
- Identify anomalous conductive areas that may relate to sulphide accumulations associated with Ni-Cu-PGE mineralised systems
Soil geochemistry sampling program underway:
- Concentrated on 4 most prospective areas
Aiming to drill high priority targets generated by AEM and soil geochemistry in Q4-CY22
